Scholastic Book Fair at Davis, Dec. 12 – 15

The Resource Center will host a Scholastic Book Fair from December 12 – 15 from 9:30 a. m. to 8:00 p. m. each day. The sale will be a great opportunity to do some holiday shopping for any of the children in your life, from preschoolers through young adults.

Profits from the sale will be used to purchase new books for the Resource Center and Kangaroos Child Care, the day care facility where Davis College's Early Childhood Education students get their training. We will also be collecting money for the local nonprofit organization, Creating Young Readers.

This excellent program trains volunteers to read to at-risk preschoolers in Toledo child care facilities. Studies show that children who are read to at an early age have a better chance of learning to read when they begin elementary school. Its aim is to tackle illiteracy before it happens.
